Master în Biblioteconomie şi Stiinţele Informării



Aderarea la U.E. obligă şi sistemul de învăţământ să facă paşii necesari acestei alinieri. Ea presupune adoptarea programelor, a structurilor de pregătire şi perfecţionare, a conţinuturilor şi schimbarea mentalităţii. Pentru cei interesaţi în pregătirea unui Master în Biblioteconomie şi Stiinţele Informării (traducerea este aproximativă) va trebui să aveţi în vedere aspectele următoare privind pregătirea de bază. Se aplică sistemul creditelor transferabile.

Students f third countries can apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. For each student the scholarship amounts to €21,000 per academic year. This includes 10 monthly grants of €1,600 and a fixed amount of €5,000 for fees, travel expenses, relocation costs, etc.
Definition of eligible students:
* Citizens coming from all countries other than:
o The 25 EU Member States (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The UK)
o The EEA-EFTA states (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)
o The candidate countries for accession to the EU (presently Bulgaria, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Romania and Turkey)
* Residents of any of the above countries are not eligible for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship
* Applicants should not have carried out their main activities (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the above countries.
Application
Admission criteria
Requirements for all DILL students:
* A degree in Library and Information Science (based on no less than three years of study – 180 ECTS) or equivalent qualifications such as a degree in another relevant subject.
* English skills. Students from non-English speaking countries must have passed:
o either IELTS (International English Language Testing System) (minimum score: 5.5 points)
o or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) ( minimum score: 550 on paper based test or 213 on computer based test)
* Knowledge and skills of computers for information use.

Application
To apply to the Master Programme, the following is required:
* Completed application form (PDF) in English.
* Statement of purpose in English (i.e. motivation, subject of interest, plans for study, which competencies and skills you would like to achieve, what you would like to do after completion).
* Documentation of English skills. (Non-native English speakers must enclose an IELTS or TOEFL certificate.)
* Officially certified copies of academic transcript(s)/diploma(s) in the original language and in official English translation. (Students should be able to produce the original documents on request.)
* Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English.

Deadline for applications for the academic year 2007/2008 is 1 February 2007.
Selection criteria
There is a maximum of 30 students selected by an admission committee, 10 from EU/EEA-EFTA countries, and 20 from other, so-called third countries.

The applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
* Excellence of academic background.
* Experience and professional training.
* Relevance of statement of purpose to the aims of DILL as a whole.

Tuition fee
There are different tuition fees for the two groups of students:
* Third-country students (students from outside the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA)): €2,500 per year
* European students (students from EU/EEA-EFTA): €1,750 per year

ceea ce este preluat dintrun documentariu este foarte informativ petru cei care sunt interesati pentru studii in strainatate cu burse in cazul in care vor sa urmeze un master in biblioteconomiesi stiintele informarii.in special as dori daca se poate ca ceea ce este scris in limba engleza sa fie tradus pentru cei care inca nu cunosc limba dar ar vrea sa faca ceva pentru propiul viitor .
